Wedding Photography Without the Fuss
I want the photography to fit around your wedding, rather than your wedding having to fit around the photography.
My approach is natural and observational, paying attention to the people, atmosphere and small interactions happening throughout the day. I’ll give direction when it is useful, particularly when a photograph needs a little structure, but I don’t want you to feel as though you are being constantly pulled away for pictures.
The result is a set of photographs that feels like your wedding as it actually happened, alongside the more considered images you will want from the day.
The Approach
The Moments Between the Photographs
Some of the photographs that matter most are not the ones anybody plans.
They are often found in the reactions, conversations and brief moments happening around the main parts of the wedding. I stay aware of those as the day develops, while still making sure the important people and moments receive the attention they need.
That balance is a big part of how I photograph weddings: knowing when to step in and give some direction, and when the best thing I can do is leave the moment alone and photograph it as it happens.
On the Day
Direction When You Need It
You do not need to know how to pose or spend the day thinking about where the camera is.
When some direction will improve a photograph, I’ll give it clearly and keep things moving. The rest of the time, I work around what is already happening rather than continually stopping the day to create photographs.
It keeps the experience relaxed and gives us room for both natural photographs and the more considered images you will want to have afterwards.

Every wedding is different, so the right amount of photography depends on what you have planned and which parts of the day matter most to you.
I offer structured wedding photography packages with different levels of coverage, making it easier to choose an option that fits your plans.

Do you take posed photographs as well as candid ones?
Yes. Although much of my approach is observational, I’ll give direction when it helps create a stronger photograph.
The aim is to keep those moments relaxed and efficient, so you still get considered photographs without spending the wedding feeling as though you are constantly on a photoshoot.
